Audit event: A record of an operation with context such as actor, action, target, time, and result.
Control plane: The management layer used to review and coordinate workflows, environments, versions, and authorized operations. It is separate from the runtime that executes automations.
Credential reference: A safe identifier used by a workflow to select a credential without embedding or displaying the secret value.
Deployment: An operation that applies an approved workflow version to a target environment.
Desired state: The reviewed workflow version that should be present in an environment.
Drift: A difference between desired state and the state observed in the automation runtime.
Entitlement: A plan-derived allowance or capability, such as environment capacity or access to a product action.
Environment: A connected automation destination, commonly assigned a role such as Development, Staging, or Production.
Promotion: The reviewed movement of a workflow change toward a higher-risk environment.
Reconciliation: The process of deciding which state is authoritative and bringing desired and runtime state back into agreement.
Repository: The versioned source used to record workflow desired state and its history.
Runtime state: The workflow configuration currently observed in the automation platform.
Secret metadata: Non-secret information about a credential, such as its reference, type, target, synchronization status, or update time.
Semantic diff: A comparison organized around meaningful workflow changes instead of only line-by-line text differences.
Tenant or workspace: The customer boundary that groups authorized users, environments, workflows, and entitlements.
Version: An identifiable, reviewable snapshot of a workflow definition.
Workflow: An automation definition made of triggers, steps, connections, settings, and credential references.
